Automating testing with Selenium (Java/C#)

Multi-day training

Location: Amersfoort and online

Language: Dutch

30 October 2024, 31 October 2024

Learn to make choices that make test code readable, maintainable and extensible

Automating testing for browser-based software is a good and efficient way to simplify frequent testing of Web applications and Web apps. Because Selenium is an open source tool, supporting multiple languages such as Java, C#, Python and JavaScript, Selenium can be used relatively inexpensively and widely. An additional advantage is that the test cases only need to be developed once, after which the tool allows them to be run on multiple operating systems. Using Selenium does require some programming knowledge.

In this two-day course, by performing a large number of exercises in your chosen development language (Java or C#), you will gain experience in setting up a testing framework (JUnit or TestNG for Java; MStest, NUnit or xUnit for C#). These frameworks build the tests and controls.

Automation consists not only of running a test case, but also of preparing the initial situation and leaving the environment tidy afterwards. Thus, participants learn to make choices that make their test code readable, maintainable and extensible.

Participants will receive the material digitally after the training, so they can immediately apply what they have learned in their own practice.
