This three-day course prepares participants for the ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Manager v3.0 certification. Upon completion of this highly interactive training course, the participant will be able to set up and manage a test project in various software development projects by deploying appropriate test management processes. The participant can prepare and present a complete business case with the costs and benefits for all testing activities to stakeholders. The participant is able to plan all testing activities including the testing infrastructure required in the process. Also, the participant is able to identify test stakeholders, manage quality risks during the test project and use the results to drive testing so that test objectives are met. Furthermore, the participant will learn how to continuously monitor and report test progress to the test project stakeholders. The participant also learns how to set up and lead a test team that can execute the test project in different environments, on different test levels and in various circumstances. There is also a focus on identifying and developing the necessary skills within the test team. In addition, the participant will gain practically applicable insights into the test manager‘s leadership role in test process improvements at a variety of levels. Creating defect reports and setting up a defect management workflow suitable for the software development life cycle is also an essential part of this interactive training.
The ISTQB® Advanced Level certification is aimed at people who have extensive experience in the field of testing. Polteq offers three different courses aimed at earning one of the three ISTQB® Advanced certifications:
- ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Manager (CTAL-TM) (3 days)
- ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Analyst (CTAL-TA) (3 days)
- ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst (CTAL-TTA) (3 days)
Passing all these certifications leads to the Full Advanced Level Testing Professional certificate.
Prior knowledge
ISTQB® Foundation certification.
Exam
Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a voucher that allows them to take an online or physical exam of their choice. For groups of at least five participants, a classroom exam can also be held.
Prerequisite for certification is that the participant has the ISTQB® Foundation certificate. If the participant does not already hold that certificate, the exam can still be taken, but the participant will not yet receive the “ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level – Test Manager” certificate.
